Harsh environmental requirements
Many applications take place in production environments that place special demands on electric actuators. It can be very dusty and dirty there, or special hygiene requirements apply and the components must be easy to clean.
This is why mini cylinders, rod type actuators, slider type actuators, rotary drives, grippers and SCARA robots are available in dust and water-protected versions in addition to the standard versions. While pneumatic drives are only safe enough after extensive encapsulation, IP-protected actuators from IAI can be used without any further construction work.
