How quickly do electric cylinders pay for themselves?
The partially (not always) higher acquisition costs are amortized within a very short time due to the energy savings. The technical advantages, however, are immediately available.
The operating costs of RoboCylinders, for example, are only 1/3 to 1/10 of the costs of pneumatic cylinders. As the cycle frequency increases, the energy consumption of a pneumatic cylinder increases exponentially, while the energy consumption of RoboCylinders remains constant. Thus, the difference in energy consumption increases with the number of working cycles per minute.
If both cylinders operate at 10 cycles per minute, a RoboCylinder uses only 1/3 of the energy of a pneumatic cylinder. If both cylinders work at 30 cycles per minute, this difference becomes even more obvious: the RoboCylinder only requires 1/10 of the energy of a pneumatic cylinder! The more cylinders used in your company, the higher the savings and thus the return on investment.
