Uniquely small and easy to control
It is not only in the microdrive sector that small mini slider type actuators with motor and encoder are replacing
conventional pneumatic cylinders due to their identical design and simple motion control.

The miniature sizes are suitable for assembly fixtures, workpiece positioning, table movement and many other applications. They can transport horizontal payloads of up to 8 kg and vertical payloads of up to 3.5 kg with stroke travels of up to 300 mm.
In the RCP3 series, the mini slider types are optionally equipped with a sliding spindle or ball screw. In the RCA2 series, high-precision ball screws with accuracy class C10 and brushless 24VDC servo motors convert rotational motion into linear stroke or traction motion.

High-precision ball screws with accuracy class C10 and brushless 24 VDC servomotors make it possible to convert the rotary movement into linear lifting or pulling movements. The mini slide cylinders RCA2-SA2 (also available with a space-saving side motor version) allow linear movements with small path fluctuations of max. 20 µm over an absolute stroke of 25 to 100 mm.
With an axis width of 20 mm (RCA2-SA2) and axis lengths of 114 to 249 mm, the mini cylinders weigh between 170 and 280 g, depending on the stroke length. At travel speeds of up to 200 mm/s, loads of max. 0.5 to 2 kg can be transported horizontally and 0.25 to 1 kg vertically.
The combination of flexible add-on components and high-resolution encoder achieves a high level of precision, particularly suitable for demanding positioning tasks such as the adjustment of optical systems, in fiber optic technology or micro positioning drives in medical technology.
