Mini Slider Types: Simply Small and Easy to Control
In the micro and micro-drive sector, IAI offers mini slider types that easily replace pneumatic cylinders due to their identical design and simple control mode. They are suitable for mounting fixtures, workpiece positioning, table motion and many other applications.
In the RCP3 series, the smallest models are available as a slider types with sliding spindle. The latest developments are the space-saving mini slider types of the RCA2 series with 24 V servo motor.
RCA2 Series with 24 V Servo Motor
High-precision ball screws with accuracy class C10 and brushless 24 VDC servo motors make it possible to convert the rotary movement into linear lifting or pulling movements as well. The mini-slide cylinders RCA2-SA2 (also with space-saving side-mounted motor) allow linear movements with small path fluctuations of max. 20 μm over an absolute travel of 25 to 100 mm.
With an axle width of 20 mm (RCA2-SA2) and axle lengths of 114 to 249 mm, the mini axes have a weight of 170 to 280 g, depending on the stroke length. At travel speeds of up to 200 mm/s, loads of max. 0.5 to 2 kg horizontally and 0.25 to 1 kg transported vertically.
Many models optional with brake unit
Mini slider types are also available with brake. Due to the rear axis mounted additional brake unit, these models differ in size and appearance from models without brake.
