Water and dust protected SCARA robots

SCARA robots are also a popular option for small robotic assembly applications in harsh environments with suspended dust, moisture or water spray. IAI offers water and dust protected SCARA robots with 24 V stepper motor or 230 V servo motor.

They can be used without further construction measures. The danger of leakage is not given here. One reason for the uncomplicated installation without the need for additional aggregates are their flexibility and the small footprint, which reduces the cost and time required for commissioning.

Cost-effective IXP SCARA robots with 24 V stepper motor

IAI's entry-level model IXP offers a cost-effective introduction to automated manufacturing in harsh environments. By using stepper motors, the IXP series costs significantly less than conventional models.

The permissible load is comparable thanks to the high-performance drivers. Due to the low weights of the robot arms between 7 kg and 23 kg, the robots can move payloads between 1 kg and 6 kg. All models are equipped with battery-less absolute encoders.

Up to 255 programs and 30,000 positions can be stored in the controller of the IXP SCARA robots. The control can be done via discrete inputs and outputs or via one of the common field bus systems.

The IX SCARA robots have excellent performance characteristics in terms of high-speed behavior, payload and repeatability of positioning. In addition to standard versions in various sizes, there are also ultra-compact models for clean room applications.
