RoboCylinder & IntelligentActuator Slider Types
The RoboCylinder slider types developed by IAI stand for maximum performance, outstanding user friendliness and economic efficiency. They are used for transporting and positioning workpieces. The model specifications differ after horizontal and vertical use. To cover a wide range of customer requirements, it is available as a standard as well as a wide slider type.

The IntelligentActuator (single-axis robots) product line is available for particularly high speeds and transfer rates. They meet significantly higher requirements in terms of payload, speed and stroke length.
Standard and wide RCP6 slider types

The latest generation is available under the series name RCP6. All linear drives in this new series are characterised above all by their greatly increased mechanical stability as well as their very much improved positioning accuracy. Positioning repeatabilities of ± 5 μm are now achieved with the high-precision version.
This series also features a line with a built-in controller under the product name RCP6S.
Wide slider types: WSA
The new RCP6 wide Slider Types now also absorb very much higher torques in the pitching, yawing and rolling directions in their base frame. These mechanical advantages come into their own above all in the case of larger overhangs, e.g. with Cartesian systems and similar structures. The higher possible weight acceptance is also a big advantage for many applications. These linear modules are available with stroke lengths of between 50 mm and 1,100 mm.

IntelligentActuator ISB Series
The ISB universal series is based on aluminium profiles with a compact, rectangular cross-section. It is available in three model sizes – S, M and L.
The linear complete axes with 230 V AC servo motor move at a maximum speed of 2.5 m/s and accelerate at a maximum permitted 1.2 G. The repeatability is up to ± 5 µm.
Variety of model options
All axis models can optionally be configured with brake, ball chain system, creep sensor and limit switch, and as a high straightness version. The associated matched 1 to 6-axis program controller from the SEL series cover a power range from 60 to 2400 W in eight steps.
Steel slider types: SSPA
The SSPA series has a built-in design with a highly rigid steel profile. Like the normal linear axes with ball screw, the polished running tracks of the guide are located on the inner surfaces of the U-shaped profile. As a result, the axis has an extremely compact design and is very rigid.
NSA series: highly dynamic linear actuators
The "NSA Rotating Nut Linear Actuator" series of linear axes stands for a high-performance linear robot with a servo motor integrated in the slider. In comparison with IAI's classic ISA series, the NSA series from the IntelligentActuator product line is predestined for long stroke movements of up to 3000 mm with a constant high speed and acceleration on account of the stationary spindle over the entire distance. Also, with long strokes, the precision is higher because no vibrations are caused - unlike a rotating spindle.
High-resolution battery-less absolute encoder

Many slider axes are equipped as standard or optionally with a battery-less absolute encoder that no longer requires a battery for the saving of position data. Referencing drives, external home sensors or the regular replacement of batteries are thus consigned to the past.
