RoboCylinder & IntelligentActuator slider types

Slider type actuators are mainly used for transporting and positioning workpieces horizontally or vertically.
To meet the requirements in terms of payload, speed, spindle pitch, precision and much more, IAI offers many choices in both the RoboCylinder and IngelligenActuator series. These include extra-wide slide axes whose base frames have increased bending strength.
Many linear actuators are available in two design variants: As a directly driven slider type with motor in extension of the cylinder's longitudinal axis and as a shorter version with angled motor if the available working space is limited.
RCP6 slider types - standard or wide

The latest RoboCylinder slider types from the RCP6 series are characterised by their mechanical stability and positioning accuracy. The latter is ± 5 μm for the high-precision model, for example.
This series also features a line with a built-in controller under the product name RCP6S.
RCP6-WSA: Wide slider types
The wide RCP6 slider types absorb very high moments in their base frame in the directions of deflection and and torsion. These mechanical advantages come into play especially with larger overhangs, such as cartesian systems and similar structures.
The higher maximum load capacity is also a big plus for many applications. These linear cylinders are available with stroke lengths between 50 mm and 1,100 mm.
IntelligentActuator: ISB single-axis robots

The IntelligentActuator ISB series is based on aluminium profiles with a compact rectangular cross-section. The linear actuators with 230 V servo motor move at a maximum speed of 2.5 m/s and accelerate at a maximum permitted 1.2 G. The repeat accuracy is up to ± 5 µm.
The series has recently been expanded to include wide extra-long types with ultra-high speed and a maximum payload capacity of up to 400 kg. Read more ...
Wide range of model options
All ISB slider types can be optionally configured with a brake, ball chain system, creep sensor, limit switch and much more. The matching 1- to 8-axis program controllers of the SEL series cover a power range from 60 to 2400 W in eight gradations.
IntelligentActuator: SSPA steel-base actuators

While most electric linear actuators are made of aluminium, the SSPA series has an integrated design with a highly rigid steel profile. This gives it significantly higher rigidity than comparable linear drives.
Similar to other linear actuators with ball screws, the polished running tracks of the guide are located on the inner surfaces of the U-shaped profile. The compact design of the SSPA slider types serves the high load capacity and bending strength of these linear drives.
IntelligentActuator: NSA Rotation Nut Type Actuators

The NSA series are the very latest rotating nut type actuators from IAI. The linear slider movement for these actuators is created by rotating the nut rather than the ball screw with a motor.
Since the ball screw does not rotate, it is capable of high-speed movement even with a long stroke without being affected by resonance, shortening the cycle time.
With a repeat accuracy of ±0.01mm and a maximum speed of 2,500 mm/s, horizontal loads of up to 60 kg are possible, and up to 120 kg at 1,300 mm/s. A new model suppresses vibrations from the ball screw and supports the maximum stroke of 3,000 mm.
The NSA multi-slider type has a single axis equipped with two motors that can operate individually. Each slider supports the maximum payload.
Multiple slider actuators are suitable for complex single-axis applications, with all sliders being independently controllable. Used as an x-axis in 2-, 3-, 4- or 6-axis systems, the high-speed actuator can be combined with the classic ISB and ISA linear drives.
