EC rod types & radial cylinders
EC rod type actuators also feature a built-in controller for up to three positions. EC radial cylinders are additionally equipped with internal linear guides to better absorb radial and axial loads.
EleCylinder linear rod type actuators are available with or without external guides. They are suitable for stroke lengths of up to 300 mm and payloads of up to 80 kg.
Radial cylinders are equipped with a 2-track or 4-track linear guide and can move payloads of up to 300 kg.
Space-saving compact types with servo motor
The new EleCylinder compact models feature a servomotor and are characterized by their extremely short design. They are available as compact rod type actuators with or without external guides, as well as compact slide table types with 30 or 50 mm strokes.
All models are equipped with a compact controller circuit board that fits into the body. The high-performance 24 VAC hollow-shaft servo motor features a design developed specifically for this application.
Position detection is performed via a magnetic hollow-shaft encoder.
Application example for space-saving EC compact cylinders:
The complete EleCylinder series is optionally available with the “3-position mode specification”. This means that stops are not only possible at the set start and end positions, but also in between.
In certain applications, the cycle time can be shortened by stopping at intermediate positions.
The hand-held programming device "Touch Panel TB-03" can communicate wirelessly with EleCylinder actuators.
This means that even axes that are already firmly installed behind covers can be reprogrammed quickly and easily.

Radial cylinder
For radial cylinders, 2- or 4-lane linear guides with rotating balls are installed in the rod base body. External guides are therefore not required.
Standard radial cylinders have a 2-track linear guide, while highly rigid radial cylinders are equipped with a 4-track linear guide. This means that the permissible radial load at the rod tip is at least 2.8 times higher than with the standard version.
Due to the integrated linear guides and the rod bearing, radial and axial loads can be absorbed. In addition, there is no overtravel at the rod tip (stick-slip effect) as with pneumatic cylinders.
