Safe control of single axis actuators
The safety monitoring functions of the new SCON2 controller enable the use of electric actuators without a safety fence or emergency shutdown of the drive source. It monitors the operation of electric axes and switches them off safely in the event of danger.
This allows humans to work together with robots in the same workspace. When approached, the relevant actuator is safely stopped without interrupting production. In addition to protecting employees, systems and assets, safety-related regulations are complied with.

- Safe stop with time control (SS1-t, SS2-t)
- Safe operating stop (SOS)
- Safely limited speed (SLS)
- Safely limited torque (SLT)
- Safely limited position (SLP)
- Safe speed monitoring (SSM)
- Monitoring (STM, SPM, SDI-, SDI+)
- Safe brake control (SBC)
Significantly smaller size
The SCON2 position controller is considerably smaller compared to the size of the previous version. Thanks to the built-in fan, the new controllers can be installed with a distance of just 1 mm. This significantly reduces the space required for installation in the control cabinet.
With three 750 W controllers installed, for example, the mounting area is reduced by 57% compared to the conventional SCON controller.
